- For the bride, select your bridesmaids. Set a date for ordering dresses for them.
4 to 6 Months In Advance Before the Big Day
- Have the invitations, stationeries, and thank you notes ordered.
- The photographer, florist, musician, and caterer should have already been chosen. Go over details with each of these services to make sure that everything is as agreed upon.
- For the groom, select attire.
- Honeymoon reservations should be made already at this point.
- Confirm the delivery of the bridal gown.
2 Months In Advance Before the Big Day
- Plan your rehearsal dinner.
- If you are having out-of-town attendants, arrange for their lodging.
- Make an appointment with your chosen photographer for the shooting of the bridal portrait.<br>
- Order the wedding cake.
1 Month In Advance Before the Big Day
- The couple should decide on a wedding band set.
- Mail the invitations.
- Check the apparel for the wedding party.
- The couple attends showers.
2 Weeks Before the Wedding.
- It is time to apply for marriage license and attend to other legal matters, especially for the bride – name and address changes on bank accounts and other official documents.
- Plan a wedding hairstyle and make-up with your stylist.
- Check with the caterer and the reception venue for last minute changes.
1 Week Before the Wedding
- Do your honeymoon packing.
- Wrap gifts for the groom and attendants.
- Schedule the wedding rehearsal.
- Remind the wedding party of the exact time and place for the occasion.

Bridesmaid Dresses for a Formal Wedding
One of the most important aspects to consider when planning a wedding is choosing your bridesmaid dresses. The overall style of your wedding can be seen by your guests through your bridesmaid dress designs. After the bride, the bridesmaids’ dresses are among the most visible aspects of your wedding. Your bridesmaids will precede you down the aisle, and appear in almost all of your photographs and memories from your special day. For an extremely formal wedding, it is important to choose bridesmaid dresses that are beautiful and elegant to tie in with the theme of your wedding.
Typically for formal weddings, long or floor length bridesmaid dresses are accepted. Many believe that formal weddings are almost the only place where long bridesmaid dresses are used. Floor length bridesmaid dresses can help you to portray the idea of elegance and sophistication. Paired with the perfect hairstyle, shoes, and flowers, elegant dresses can help your guests visualize the gracefulness that your wedding day is representing.
Even though longer bridesmaid dresses are characteristically seen at formal weddings, many individuals opt for using shorter length bridesmaid dresses for their nuptials. Tea length and shorter dresses can be suitable for formal weddings, especially if they are in dark, rich colors. A short dress might be perfect for your bridal party if the color and design coordinates well with the theme and idea of your wedding. It is important to remember that this is your wedding, and you should be choosing only options that are going to make you happy. Bridesmaid dresses for a formal wedding can be just about any length, as long as you keep in mind the formality that your chosen dress is portraying.
It is also important to pay particular attention to the style of your bridesmaid dresses when it comes to a formal wedding. When you are perusing various styles of bridesmaid dresses, there are a few things that you should keep in mind, including the fit of the gown. Many bridesmaid gowns at formal weddings are form fitting, flowing, or often high waist gowns. If you choose to have a formal wedding try to think about attire that women would wear for red carpet events or a night at the theater. If you are having a formal wedding, it is your night to walk down the red carpet and to ensure that your bridesmaids look as fabulous as you do.
In general, you want to think about bridesmaid dresses for a very formal wedding as a way to promote the formality of your event. Therefore, color is going to be a very important component to contemplate. For most formal weddings, somber colors such as black, deep blues or purples are usually used. There are some exceptions, however, such as shades of silver and gold. For the most part, formal bridesmaid dresses should be darker colors, keeping in mind the elegance of a black-tie affair.
When putting together your formal bridesmaid attire, you also want to incorporate accessories such as shoes, jewelry and flowers, that will work together to complete the look. Most of the time, a dress is just a dress. However, when you add to the look it helps to portray the impression that you are trying to achieve. The shoe you choose is really going to make a difference when it comes to the formality of the ceremony. Flat shoes or strappy sandals are not going to be as formal as a beautiful high heeled pump might be. Also, for a formal wedding, you might decide to have your bridesmaids wear extravagant jewelry such as diamond necklaces, bracelets, or eye-catching earrings. For a wedding that is less formal, different jewelry will be appropriate. The flowers that you choose will also add to the elegance of your bridesmaids’ appearance. A dress that is very formal will usually be accompanied by more formal looking flowers such as lilies or white roses. Adding a ribbon or other special tie around the bouquets can also add to the overall look. A less formal bridesmaid dress can be accompanied by less formal flowers such as daisy’s or carnations.
Overall, when it comes to bridesmaid dresses, it is up to you to make sure that the dress you choose portrays the overall elegance and formality of your wedding. Adding little touches and accessories such as jewelry, flowers and shoes can help complete the overall look you are trying to achieve.

Man’s Wedding Ring

Picking out the man’s wedding ring can sometimes be more difficult then picking out the woman’s ring. Let’s face it; it is just not “manly” for a man to wear jewelry. So how in the world are you supposed to pick out a man’s wedding ring? Here are some questions to ask yourself when choosing your man’s wedding ring.
1) What is the Price?
Men do not like to spend money on jewelry. Money can be spent on a tool set or a big screen television perhaps, but not on a man’s wedding ring. Most men are not going to be impressed if you spent a lot of money on a man’s ring. They would much rather hear that you got a killer deal on it. Definitely do not feel obligated to spend a lot of money on your man’s wedding ring. Anything that does not turn his finger green will probably work just fine.
2) What Size?
How large does you man want his wedding ring? The width of the wedding band is something you should think about. Some men like just thin bands while others like very thick wedding bands. This is something that you need to consider when picking out your man’s wedding ring.
3) What is His Style?
What does your husband-to-be like? Is he more of a traditional person or does he like things that are new and unique. This is usually a good indicator of what he wants in a wedding ring. Some men are completely satisfied with the standard gold wedding band; however, others like to find what is new in the market such as a tungsten ring (with a tungsten ring, your husband can basically put his finger through a meat grinder and their ring will survive without a scratch). A man’s wedding ring should reflect his personality.
4) Is There a Way to make it Meaningful?
It is always nice to make the wedding ring meaningful. For example, you can pick the style of his father’s or your father’s wedding. Possibly there is a family heirloom that can be passed on to him or maybe there is something that you can engrave onto his ring. If possible, try to give significance to the man’s wedding ring.
5) Should it match my Wedding Band?
In most cases, the man’s wedding ring matches the woman’s wedding band, but this is not always the case. If you are not sure what to get, it is always safe to get matching wedding bands but make sure to talk to him about it, he could possible have something else in mind.
6) Does he want to be Part of the Process?
This is probably the most important question. Maybe he knows exactly what he wants for his wedding ring and you are worrying about picking one out for him for no reason. It is traditional for the man and the woman to select their wedding bands together. While he may be completely disinterested, let him have the chance to be a part of the decision. This ring will be on his finger for quite some time, so he should get a say in the matter.
Don’t let picking out your man’s wedding ring become too difficult of a task. Just remember to pick something that fits him and his personality and make sure to invite him to be a part of the process. When picking out your man’s wedding ring, it is time to think about what he likes (since he is the one wearing it) instead of what you want for him. Make him happy. The bottom line here is to know your man.

Summer Wedding Hairstyles
Selecting a wedding hairstyle for a summer wedding can be challenging. If the wedding will be outside, you will definitely want to go with an updo. Long, curly wedding hairstyles
Long, curly hairstyles are a great choice for a wedding hairstyle. Add soft curls all over using a curling iron, leaving out some wispy strands to frame the face. If you don’t like hair to fall in your face, there is always the partial updo hairstyle. After curling the hair all over, pull back small sections of hair on each side of your part and secure them in a low ponytail in back.
Add height in the crown area by gently back combing small sections of hair. Adding some long side swept bangs make for a very romantic looking hairstyle.

Deciding How To Wear Your Hair And Make Up For Formal Events Is Important But The Wedding Hair Style Is The Most Important One Of All.
Wedding hair styles have seen a considerable change as the fashions through the years change and deciding how to wear your hair and make up for a formal event such as a wedding is a very important decision to make. Today’s styles are much softer and more natural than the rigid styles of years ago being much more free, natural as well as much easier to attain than even those that were fashionable a few years ago. The wedding hair style and how you wear your hair and make up for formal events requires doing some research as well as practicing before the big day or night to make sure you get it right.
There will sure to be hundreds of eyes on the bride on her big day and so the wedding hair will need to be perfect to make the bride feel at her best. How you decide to wear your hair and make up at other formal events is not quite so important as you will not necessarily want photographs to remind you of the big day. This is reason enough to choose a perfect as well as formal hairstyle much before the actual wedding day so as to allow the hairstylist to get it right as well as be able to make any changes that are required before the wedding day.
Style books can give you ideas of how to wear your hair and make up at formal events and are a good starting point to select the perfect wedding hair style. Before selecting a particular hair style, make sure that it also compliments the wedding dress in terms of style, era as well as cut of the dress. The bride should also consider how the rest of the wedding party are going to wear their hair and make up, whether long or short, curly or straight. Decisions such as this go a long way to helping making the day perfect.
Co-coordinating the wedding hair styles or how you wear your hair and make up at formal events with those of the wedding party or other guests does not mean having to choose exactly the same styles but the look should compliment each member’s personality, hair texture as well as facial structure.
The wedding hair style and how you wear your hair and make up at other important formal events is certainly the most important part of the entire outfit and is often the first thing that others notice. The hardest part may be finding the ideal wedding hair style, and brides-to-be are often lost and unsure about which style is the best for them. However, magazines such Wedding Magazine as well as tons of others that can be found on the shelves of local bookstores will help.
.
Deciding how to wear your hair and your make up at formal events including a wedding trying to match accessories and colors is a great idea. However, the wedding hair style of the bride can be apart, and can and should be more intricate than those of the other members of the wedding party as it is the brides day and she does not want to be out done by one of the bridesmaids does she?

Use White Wedding Flowers for an Exquisite Wedding
The new trend in winter wedding flowers is white. Traditionally, brides thought that winter weddings called for bold, rich colors; today, that attitude is changing. White wedding flowers can evoke thoughts of snow, purity, and untainted love. More and more, brides are choosing the stunning effects of white flowers to enhance their winter weddings.
You can achieve a look of elegance and beauty by using these ideas for white wedding flowers for a winter wedding, or design your own stunning arrangements based on the suggestions below.
˜ Standing at heights of 36″ or even 48″, larkspur centerpieces create an impressive appearance. As they flower best in the cool temperatures, larkspurs are the perfect white flowers for a winter wedding.
˜ White calla lilies are ideal for both elegant bouquets and chic centerpieces. Create an arm bouquet with long-stemmed calla lilies or a free-form all-white clutch bridal bouquet by combining white roses and white calla lilies.
˜ White roses are classic wedding roses- a perfect decoration for any winter wedding with white wedding flowers. Mix white roses with colored roses to complement the bridesmaid dresses, or maintain the purity of the day by combining white roses with other white flowers. For a look of unparalleled uniformity and sophistication, use white roses as the only flower of the day.
˜ For a more playful look, create a clutch bouquet from a tight ball bouquet of white hydrangeas. Add vibrant greens for an eye-catching splash of color.
˜ Chrysanthemums (and pompons, a more specific hybrid of chrysanthemum) are exotic and bold. They come in many different forms, each lovelier than the next. Because of their strong personality, mums should be used selectively and should preferably be coupled with a quieter bloom such as larkspur.
˜ Queen Anne’s lace is excellent filler for a winter wedding. Choose a particularly large or striking bloom as the focal point of the bouquet, and sprinkle Queen Anne’s lace throughout the display for a regal effect.
˜ Stock is a tall and full plant that enhances any arrangement. Make a stunning centerpiece arrangement by combining tall branches of stock blossoms with white calla lilies or hydrangeas.
˜ White alliums make excellent extra touches. Pin them to the side of each isle pew, attach to bands for corsages, or drizzle a few strands into your hair for a cascading floral hairstyle.
