Versus Versace – New Fragrance
After reviving the Versace brand’s bridge line Versus, Donatella Versace is launching a new fragrance: Versus Versace. The new scent mixes romantic tones with an energetic rock’ n ‘roll edge, that represents the Versace woman.
After reviving the brand’s second line Versus, the Italian luxury house Versace is ready to launch a new fragrance, called Versus Verscace.
The brand’s creative director Donatella Versace, worked with perfumer Nathalie Lorson to create the new fragrance.
Versus Versace mixes romantic tones with a strong rock’ n ‘roll edge, with top notes of energetic citrus, fused with a soft floral core of orange blossom and dries down to sensual musk and patchouli notes.
“I used purple for the packaging because it represents my fashion and it is a color that reminds me of music,” said Donatella Versace of the bottle.
The fragrance comes in a purple crystal bottle carrying the gold Versus Versace logo, while the box bears the brand’s labyrinth motif, highlighting the fragrance’s rock credentials.
The face of the new fragrance is model of the moment Lara Stone posing in a mirrored labyrinth and wearing Versus. “Lara is a mix of innocence and sensuality. In the fragrance video it looks like she is going to do something unpredictable, like something unexpected is going to happen. This is the real spirit of Versus,” said Donatella.

Best Dressed at the Grammys
The Grammys is touted as ‘the biggest event’ in the industry I work in. Unfortunately, the last few years, it’s been a bit lackluster. Every year I say I’m not going to watch but every year I tune in, just so I’m lost during the water cooler conversations at work the next day. I tuned in Sunday night, on breaks from Brothers & Sisters (love that show). Here’s a quick summary of my thoughts:
-Lady GaGa rocks – she can sing, she can write, she can design, and she can truly ENTERTAIN
-Pink sang upside down, twirling from a piece of fabric, all in a wet, nude body suit. Need I say more?
- Beyonce covering Alanis. Awesome.
- Oh Taylor Swift. Yes, she’s America’s sweetheart. And yes she can song write (which many top selling artists can’t do), but she can’t sing. Well, she can sing, but off-key.
- Didn’t understand Jamie Foxx’s performance though it was cool to see Slash.
-Taylor Swift won over GaGa? WTF.
The one thing I do love about the Grammys is the fashion. It’s less about elegance and old Hollywood, and more about funky, outrageous and avant garde.
My favourite of the evening – Rihanna. Fun, flirty and feathery. Love it.

Who’s outfit was your favourite?

The 2010 Grammy Awards have unleashed yet again havoc among celebrities, entering the battle for the best red carpet appearance.
Let’s see who did best on the red carpet of the 2010 Grammy Awards and who should look for a new stylist! Here are the most memorable appearances!
Beyonce wore three couture outfits at the 2010 Grammy Awards. She stepped on the red carpet wearing a couture gown, signed Stéphane Rolland that she accessorized with Casadei pumps and Lorraine Schwartz bling.
For her performance, Beyonce rocked the stage wearing an Atelier Versace black leather mini dress and matching embellished cut-out booties; while in the audience the Giorgio Armani Prive chain metal silver and gold, Swarovski-encrusted dress looked stunning paired with the Ruthie Davis golden platform sandals.
For the 2010 Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga’s outfits were custom-made by Giorgio Armani Prive and she didn’t disapoint. Lady Gaga turned heads as she arrived wearing the space orbit-theme dress holding a spiky sparkle-like accessory, towering embellished platforms and wearing a bright yellow and blonde wig.
Gaga’s stage outfit and the ensemble she wore for the press room were just as dramatic and outrageous as her red carpet gown.
Rihanna walked the 2010 Grammys red carpet wearing a with high neck couture Elie Saab gown, featuring an open back and stone and feather details on the bodice that she accessorized with Neil Lane and Diamond in the Rough jewelry.
Katy Perry arrived to the 2010 Grammys wearing a backless, nude Zac Posen gown, with golden floral sequin details and a Judith Leiber Elephant crystal clutch.
Carrie Underwood also made a fabulous appearance on the red carpet wearing Georges Chakra and a Swarovski crystal clutch.
Another favorite from the Grammy Awards is Jennifer Hudson wearing a Victoria Beckham design from her Spring 2010 collection. She paired the Victoria Beckham peplum dress with black Yves Saint Laurent Trib Two platform pumps.
And the worst red carpet appearance goes to pop legend Britney Spears. She arrived wearing a black long-sleeve lace dress and body suit underneath by Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Louboutin studded Pigalle pumps. Nice shoes, though!
