Olsen Twins Launch Denim Line

With all the fashion lines rolling, the Olsen twins have announced a denim-based secondary collection under their “Elizabeth and James” contemporary label. Named Textile Elizabeth and James, the denim lineup will consist of three jean designs with a strong seventies vibe, inspired by the Olsen’s actual wardrobe. Check out the Olsen twin’s denim line!

In two weeks Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will bring their high end label “The Row” to their first fashion presentation at New York Fashion Week. Today, the Olsen twins are launching their junior brand, called “Olsenboy”.

But there’s more to come; the twins have announced a denim-based secondary collection under their “Elizabeth and James” contemporary label.

The denim project is called Textile Elizabeth and James and will launch in March.
The three-jean lineup will have a strong Seventies vibe, inspired from actual jeans in the Olsen twins’ own wardrobe, with one pair dating back to their high school years.

The denim line consists of the Hendrix jean with a slight bell-bottom, the lowrise Stevie and a cropped, high-waisted jean, the Joni.

The Olsen twins’ Textile Elizabeth and James jean collection will be launched in March exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Intermix and will wholesale from $106 to $111.

For the fall, Mary-Kate and Ashley plan to launch a whole lifestyle collection for the line.
“We’re talking about the favorite things you want to wear with your jeans, like the ultimate flannel shirt,” said Jane Siskin, president and chief executive officer of L’Koral Industries, which produces Elizabeth and James as well as Olsenboye.

“Elizabeth and James is a name the customers really relate to,” said Siskin. “To give them this other piece of their wardrobe, with the same brand, is an easy connect.”

Would you wear their denim designs?

Alexander Wang Spring 2010 Collection

Alexander Wang Spring 2010 Collection

Alexander Wang’s fashion show was definitely a hot spot during New York Fashion Week. No wonder, as the designer is hot, and all the celebrities in the front row surely proved it. Anna Wintour, Rachel McAdams, Nina Garcia, DVF, Terry Richardson, Tavi, Jen Brill, and our all time favorite, the Sartorialist, Scott Schumann.

For the approaching spring season, designer Alexander Wang had in mind a certain back-to-school vision. School girls were re-imagined in letter jackets and knee-highs, along with the black-and-mesh look that became his signature over the time.

From soft grays and neutral tones in which the fashion show begun, Wang quickly passed on to his favorite all time color: black. The collection included strong-shouldered sweat shirts, shirts striped in red and white lines, extremely short tight miniskirts, lots and lots of boxy vests and jackets.

The accessories chosen to match the collection were in line with the present common sense of fashion: zippered sandal boots, heels covered in leopard prints and mesh transparent long button-downs, along with lace-up closures.
This heavy-hitter collection was definitely worth to be there, as Wang practically re-invented himself again, as he always does, each line he creates.

L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani Spring Summer 2010 Collection

New York Fashion Week. Everybody wants to be there and just enjoy all of the great fashion shows, including L.A.M.B.’s collection for spring 2010. Gwen Stefani’s label has managed to stay the same as we all know it, gorgeous, fresh and a must-have among fashion lovers.

The L.A.M.B 2010 spring collection it’s definitely an impressive one! It really screams refreshing and success, due to all the clean-cut tailored pieces with a high energy dose of urban detailing. With an African slash eighties reference pointing out, the collection has, no doubt about it, a rocker chic edge. Large pieces of fabrics literally flow in this collection in a great balance with all the leather biker jackets, zippers and tartan inserted.

The L.A.M.B. Spring 2010 collection is very eclectic in a very Gwen Stefani manner. If this means combining feminine off-the-shoulder dresses with harem panties, so be it!

There are also other items that made us fell in love, attitude- tunics, and lots of pleated items, even kilts, diaper dresses or those cargo pants we just can’t stop thinking about.

What made this collection a real success was Stefani’s ability to combine and naturally match two kinds of wearing clothes: some of them were just loose while there were many tailored pieces; but the combination is truly amazing.

The sky-high shoes and the simple make-up, matched with edgy hair up-dos did nothing but complimenting an already extraordinary line of clothes signed by the beautiful singer slash designer Gwen Stefani.
