Olsen Twins Launch Denim Line
With all the fashion lines rolling, the Olsen twins have announced a denim-based secondary collection under their “Elizabeth and James” contemporary label. Named Textile Elizabeth and James, the denim lineup will consist of three jean designs with a strong seventies vibe, inspired by the Olsen’s actual wardrobe. Check out the Olsen twin’s denim line!
In two weeks Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will bring their high end label “The Row” to their first fashion presentation at New York Fashion Week. Today, the Olsen twins are launching their junior brand, called “Olsenboy”.
But there’s more to come; the twins have announced a denim-based secondary collection under their “Elizabeth and James” contemporary label.
The denim project is called Textile Elizabeth and James and will launch in March.
The three-jean lineup will have a strong Seventies vibe, inspired from actual jeans in the Olsen twins’ own wardrobe, with one pair dating back to their high school years.
The denim line consists of the Hendrix jean with a slight bell-bottom, the lowrise Stevie and a cropped, high-waisted jean, the Joni.
The Olsen twins’ Textile Elizabeth and James jean collection will be launched in March exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Intermix and will wholesale from $106 to $111.
For the fall, Mary-Kate and Ashley plan to launch a whole lifestyle collection for the line.
“We’re talking about the favorite things you want to wear with your jeans, like the ultimate flannel shirt,” said Jane Siskin, president and chief executive officer of L’Koral Industries, which produces Elizabeth and James as well as Olsenboye.
“Elizabeth and James is a name the customers really relate to,” said Siskin. “To give them this other piece of their wardrobe, with the same brand, is an easy connect.”
Would you wear their denim designs?

Raparo Shoes – Luxury for Your Feet
Indulge your fashion obsession with the ultimate statement shoes, the beautiful Raparo shoe designs! The Italian luxury shoe designer is definitely a visionary with each creation, especially the Raparo Cut-Out Platform Pumps and Double Buckle Python Low Boots – we immediately fell under their spell!
What are the main ingredients for a successful brand to impose itself on the market?
For the buyers to want more and more products? You see, the problem with shoes could be easily compared to the problems of a relationship. It has to have passion, commitment, and a certain number of healthy rules, something different and a magic start.
That’s how I would dare to describe a name in the shoe industry, Raparo. This a family company started in Italy almost 20 years ago.
The father, Francesco Raparo, and his sons managed to bring to file, out of their own beliefs and standards, a shoe company that dedicates itself to create high quality, handicraft shoes, which are handmade, with a particular attention to fabrics, very carefully chosen.
Among its best creations for the fall season, we loved the Raparo Cut-Out Corcodile Platform Pumps, with a beautiful design and made of 100% crocodile skin.
The Raparo Cut-Out Corcodile Platform Pumps ($1,556/£823.68/€ 936) feature a 4.7 inch/120mm crocodile leather covered tapered heel and a 1.5 inch/40mm partially covered platform, a slightly pointed stitched toe with wide cut-out straps with small elastic bands in between.
This specific model goes with almost everything you can imagine, so it’s a pretty good investment for you!
The Raparo Double Buckle Python Low Boots have also a 4.7inch/120mm tapered python covered heel, a 1.5inch/40mm covered platform, a back zip closure for easy wear and adjustable buckle strap. Made of genuine python skin, these boots come in black and gray and retail for $914/£480.48/€546.

Celebrity Fashion Designers
Long are the days when celebrities stick to their profession. Instead of perfecting their acting, singing or modeling talent they often engage into the fashion industry. Indeed as a glamorous world it might attract them to an extent that they try their hands at a unique and overwhelming collections. These being popularized to maximum will boost their reputation. Those who are fond of celeb life might find it interesting to know who are the designers of the future from the world of stars.
It’s all about the fame and money, probably not! However it seems that great celebrities have also a hidden and later efficiently explored talent for creating clothes and even whole collections inspired by their own unique style. These sooner or later enjoy public praise which induces them to continue their career in this domain.
There’s nothing surprising in the fact that prominent figures both from Hollywood and even the catwalk engage into a long and fabulous process of designing. However it seems that some might wear these clothes without actually being aware of the mastermind who stands behind a certain brand. That’s why it is essential to learn more about the celebrity fashion designers and their worth-admiring works. Here are the most successful socialites who launched their own lines.
Victoria Beckham
It’s not a novelty that Victoria Beckham is considered a real trendsetter among celebrities. Indeed it was only matter of time to start designing her own collection. Starting her career back in 2007 with a denim collection was only the first crumb for a new career.
This year was also an ultra-successful and fruitful one for the aspiring creator to present her own reveries of ‘Posh’ dresses. As the collections follow each other it became obvious that her activity goes through a lot of improvement peaking in the Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2010 collection at the New York Fashion Week.
Sienna Miller
The young Brit actress has a long history in fashion designing, together with her sister Savannah. Indeed she is one of the celebrities who had the chance to design and later launch her own line for Pepe Jeans.
Called after her birth date Twenty8Twelve it is inspired by her unique attitude towards fashion the Boho and Grunge outfit cavalcades she sports and also their childhood. 2009 was also a milestone for the former model sister and Sienna Miller who launched their next line of Twent8Twelve lining up real inspiring looks and style fantasies on the catwalk.
Gwen Stefani
Those who are fond of fresh and innovative fashion lines will sure met the label L.A.M.B. owned by the ultra-popular singer and style icon Gwen Stefani. Besides the basic clothing pieces the collection encompasses accessories, bags, watches, chic shoes and also overwhelming fragrances. The world became familiarized with the ultra-productive line already in 2004.
It was undoubtedly a tribute to the Asian and South American fashion trends portraying non-conformist and revolutionary style ideas. The multitude of chromatic combination and the bulky patterns all characterized the L.A.M.B. brand. Gwen reserves some surprises for the LAMB Spring 2010 collection which elaborates a more feminine and tailored fashion orchestra paired with the Rock chic makeup and killer heels.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake earned the respect of fashion gurus not only for being one of the most stylish celebrities but also for his debut as a rising designer. Indeed teaming up with partner Trace Ayala they founded the clothing line entitled ‘William Rast’ back in 2005.
Besides following his busy singing and acting schedule Justin managed to compose her unique and inspiring pieces that are really wearable and up to date with the latest tendencies in fashion. Those who are fascinated by this lifestyle line and the fashionable jeans, jackets, tees and sweaters the label promotes should wait for Fall 2010 for the next great collection.
Lauren Conrad
‘The Hills’ starlet undoubtedly deserves the public appreciations of both fans and the fashion industry. Establishing her strong and unmistakable reputation as a style icon, already in 2008 she set the foundation for a great designer career. The LC or Lauren Conrad Collection presented during the Mercedes Benz L.A. Fashion Week marked her breath-taking entrée into the world of great style gurus.
As she claims her childhood served as the perfect source for inspiration that gave birth to a line of glamorous dresses that combine the cosmopolitan aspect of big city life with the finesse of the feminine noblesse. Recently the fans can admire her Fall LC Lauren Conrad Collection For Kohl’s. A line that promotes the beauty of light and breezy fabrics as well as strapless and fabulous dresses as well as casual wear as skinny jeans and sweaters.
