Bridesmaids are the most excited from among the other members of the wedding entourage. For one, their gowns are made special for easy identification. Moreover, they do not only walk down the aisle, but they also play a special part throughout the wedding ceremony—assisting the bride and the maid of honor. They also help during wedding rehearsals. They also usher guests in the wedding reception. Hence, a wedding would not be complete without them.

Before the day itself, they spend a good deal of money for their gowns, shoes, accessories, and hairstyles. But money isn’t the thing here. It is the support they willingly give to the bride and the groom. For this reason, newlyweds consider giving them present as their way of showing appreciation. More often than not, the bride is not hard pressed to determine the perfect gift for her bridesmaids because they are normally her sister(s) and/or best friends. So, choosing from among this list of the most popular bridesmaid gift ideas is easy:

T-Shirt
Look for a T-shirt printing and design company. Ask for their sample works to make certain that their works are of high quality. Once negotiations are settled, arrange for special instructions.  Tell them to print the words “I AM A BRIDESMAID” in front of the shirt and the name of the newlyweds (that’s you and your husband) and the date of the wedding at the back. Choose a stylish shirt. Make sure you give each of them their shirts in their favorite colors. Remember, girls love fashion!

Handbag
Ask your couturier to match the bridesmaids’ dresses with handbags; but, make a particular instruction that it be designed for use on occasions other than your wedding and more, importantly, embroidered with their names.  

Initial Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver
Look for a manufacturer of initial pendant necklace in sterling silver. Ask referrals from people you know or better check online to enable you to see their sample works. With this type of gift, your bridesmaids will truly feel special. And, isn’t this so sweet? Ask them to wear their necklaces during your wedding day.

Books
Reading books is still one of the interests of women. It varies only on topics subjects. Some love romance novels, while some go for inspirational and science and fiction, among others. Know which is of importance to each of them to make sure that the ones you will buy are appreciated.  

Fitness and Health Related Items
Buy a gift that has something to do with fitness and health. Girls just go gaga on things that can help them look fit and good. Buy a book or a CD of a particular fitness exercise. You may also consider buying a magazine or a book that features healthy diets. If these are not enough, purchase exercise equipment, such as dumbbell, exercise ball, yoga mat or the cheaper ones, like hula-hoop. On the second thought, you may also want to think about giving sports equipment or accessories.

How stunning is this church? While many couples choose to marry in churches, temples, synagogues, and other religious institutions, not many couples have the privilege of marrying in a grand, stained glassed-filled historical church like this one – the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church. I know many couples who forgo the familiar nature of their regular church/synagogue in favour of a church/synagogue that is more grand or ornate, i.e. more apropos for a wedding. I do! I love the Olympics. I’m not sporty in any kind of way (unless you consider napping a sport, in which case I would be the gold medalist) but I love watching the Games. This year, us Canadians, are hosting! Kasia Fink (aka Mrs. Sea Breeze) a fellow Canadian blogger and proprietress of Kasia Fink Veils will be participating in tonight’s opening ceremonies and she’s been blogging about the rehearsal over the last few months – go check out her blog.

So the big question remains – who’s going to light cauldron? Some say it will be “The Great One.” Some say it might be a hologram of the late Terry Fox. I love the fact that we won’t know until tonight!

The BF is on his way to Toronto as we speak so I’m doubly excited! He has no idea that for the next 2 weeks I’ll be glued to the TV cheering on Canadian competing in sports that I would never dare to try!!
