  • The first step is to secure that the condition are hygienic and nothing would further aggravate the situation of your skin. Wash your hands preferably with anti-bacterial soap and also do a quick exfoliation to get rid of dead cells.
  • Start approaching the pimple with a warm cloth, either dipped into warm water or only heated. This is a key factor when it comes of spotless popping.
  • This move will both relax and sterilize the area. Keep it on for at least 1-2 minutes, for an immediate and easy-to-handle extraction.
  • Avoid using needles and other shape tools to get rid of stubborn pimples. instead there’s a time-tested and ancient trick to banish whiteheads. Use paper towel or toilette paper to wrap your fingertips. It is vital to keep your long nails away from whiteheads. Instead use the tips for the perfect extraction. This eases the grip of the zit and also will keep the sterile area neat and spotless from any bacteria.
  • Use the fingertips to secure the position of the pimple, make sure to cover both sides. Then start pressing the skin so that the content of the pimple eliminated outside rather than inside the pore. It is essential to grab the zit at the perfect spot in order to prevent the residue from it to enter the depth of the skin, that will more than probably cause and infection.
  • Start squeezing it until it will emanate a transparent liquid or only a drop of blood. There’s no need to eliminate the ‘bad blood’ contrary to the misconceptions. It is enough to do it gently, especially if it comes out pretty hard. Another golden rule is that if the pimple won’t eliminate its content it seems that there’s no rule in continuing the process. Instead wait till tomorrow and try again, don’t torture your skin.
  • Finally cleanse the affected area with a hydrating and alcohol-based cleanser that would eliminate all the signs of infection. You might encounter that the surface of the pimple is open, don’t cover the area with anything, especially not makeup and not even moisturizer . This would enter to the deepest layers of our complexion and would only produce deterioration. Leave the are free overnight, the swelling and the redness will go away by morning.

How to Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads can be very unattractive on the skin, because they appear as dark dots which are prone to get infected. Find out how you can get rid of blackheads in order to obtain a flawless looking skin.

Blackheads are the dark colored spots we can see on our skin, which can appear all over the body, and can cause a lot of stress for most people. They create a very unpleasant and unaesthetic look, and they can be pretty difficult to remove.

Blackheads are caused by oils generated naturally by the sebaceous glands which get trapped in the pores. The pores become clogged with the oils and as the sebum begins to oxidize at skin level, it will darken. This is where the blackheads get their name.

When bacteria starts developing it can cause infections and the blackheads start to fester. It is best not to try to extract the blackheads using your fingers because there are a lot of bacteria on our hands which could enter the pores and cause infection.

Here are some healthier ways you can prevent and get rid of blackheads:

  • Find out your skin type and use the proper facial products because if you already have an oily complexion you’d want to avoid applying oil based products to your skin, which would only cause your skin to be more oily.
Excess oils is the main cause of blackheads so be careful what you use.
  • Wash your face on a daily basis, once in the morning and once in the evening with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser to remove the buildup of sebum.
Once a week use a mild face scrub to remove all the dead skin cells off which can also cause breakouts.
  • blackheads1 thumb How to Get Rid of Blackheads

  • Use a blackhead extractor which is a utensil similar to a pencil with the end shaped as a hoop. This will help the extraction of the blackheads easier without causing any damage to the skin and without getting bacteria on the face from our hands.
  • Steam facial baths will help open he pores to make the extraction process easier. The warmth of the steam will open up the pores and allow you to clean the skin better and extract the blackheads easier.
  • Using salicylic acid based products on a regular basis can help clear the skin from blackheads and breakouts. They will remove the dead skin cells and open the pores in order to facilitate the cleansing process.
  • Blackhead pore strips are a great way to remove blackheads. It is best to make sure you open up the pores before you apply the strips to allow an easier extraction. The strips will stick to the end of the blackheads and as the strip is removed the blackheads will be extracted. It is a non painful procedure but it doesn’t remove all blackheads.
  • One of the most effective ways to remove blackheads is to turn to the help of a cosmetologist. They are well trained professionals which know how to deal with these problems without damaging the skin. Find a good cosmetologist and your face will look unbelievable after the treatments.
  • Get rid of those unaesthetic blackheads and prevent them from forming by taking good acre of your skin.

How to Stop Picking Your Face

Are you a stubborn face picker even if you know you damage your skin? Then it’s time to think about the long term consequences and get rid of this terrible habit. Skim through these useful tips that will help you in quitting the compulsive picking of your face and zits.

Face picking or Dermatillomania is one of the worst habits that can destroy our skin. More and more people either due to stress or other motifs tend to start hurting their face both pimples and even the bare skin until it become red and finally even breaks out. This is a severe problem and can be defeated only with help. Those who are engaged into this don’t even realize how damaging and dangerous this can be.

From generating simple acne to the more severe skin disorder and eczema, the skin can deteriorate in a quick pace. Those who won’t get any help from their relatives or friends should contact skin care professionals who will lead them through the process of quitting. The following tips will offer you a general idea on how to stop face picking especially if your are only a rookie in this.

  • As one of the most harmful factor that might affect our complexion, picking should be treated as a real problem. One of the methods is to have a serious attitude towards the tricks that might help you in giving up this habit.

Certainly you’ll have great craves for doing it, but you should always remind yourself that it’s wrong and suddenly switch it to a more beneficial task. Practice some self-control and test the limits of your will.

  • facepicking thumb How to Stop Picking Your Face

  • Wash your face regularly this is one of the rituals that can help you prevent the formation of severe skin disorders. Indeed it won’t implicitly help you stop picking however it will still offer protection to your complexion of the harmful bacteria you might contaminate the pores with.
  • Even is you are a self-proclaimed picker, experiment with the different cosmetic or homemade treatments for acne, pimples and whiteheads. At least do this with regularity and consciously. Do what’s necessary to furnish your skin with the proper care.
  • Trim your nails, it might seem drastic for the girls indeed. However it seems that this is the only way to keep them away from your skin. Long nails might break and damage your complexion more than the shorter ones.
  • Make sure you keep them on a normal length and clean. If you feel it hard to keep them off your zits do this tiny sacrifice and wear sport stylish but mini nails.
  • Keep yourself busy with productive activities. These will efficiently distract your attention form the need to pick your face. Start going to the gym or paint, play an instrument.

Try to devote your spare time for these tasks at least for a shorter period until you get used to not touching your face. This is one of the best methods professionals also recommend to quicken the process of quitting.

  • Identifying the triggering factor is another therapy used to treat skin picking. Indeed if you’ll be aware of your habit right when the craves are occurring, you might be clever enough to find the main reason for its appearance. When you found out the triggering factor make sure you control yourself as soon as you get nervous or anxious, Instead find another act to substitute the picking with.

There are more beneficial habits as whistling or breathing techniques that can temper your nerves. Experiment with these even asking a friend to remind you to do that on the moment if you might forget about it.

  • Finally eliminate all the magnifying mirrors from your room.
There’s no need to increase your need for picking when you look into the mirror and spot a tiny section that would be perfect to play with. Instead keep away of spending to much time in front of these and especially don’t go too close and stop analyzing your complexion, these would all lead to temptation.

Are you tired of applying tons of eye makeup to have starry eyes? Then why not experiment with some natural remedies that would banish the puffy eye look and would add a fabulous sparkle to your look. The natural ingredients in these treatments will offer you more benefits than the slightly artificial look a glam makeup would create.

‘The eyes are windows to our souls’ and especially our body. Indeed this sensitive spot can reveal both different deficiencies as well as illnesses our body might suffer from. However in order to not only fake but also have the natural sparkle in our eyes it is enough to experiment with ancient tricks that our grandmothers might have applied to charm grandpa. Often the little bags under the eyes might give the impression of a tired and worn-out look.

As one of the most prominent parts on our face, the eyes should be carefully taken care of in order to look flawless. Chemical-based cosmetics can often harm the skin around this area and also our sight, instead there are organic options that can jazz up our look in a few minutes. The following tricks will help us in getting sparkling eyes naturally.

    Healthy Diet

  • Start by adopting a healthy diet or a nutrient-rich meal plan that is rich in minerals and vitamins that both do miracles with the skin as well as the sight. That amazing sparkle in the eyes can be best achieved by consuming ingredients that have a high content of vitamin A and C.

These are the two basic nutrients that should be embedded in our daily meals. It’s not a novelty that carrots are the most well-known vegetables that are recommended to have healthy and glittering eyes.

  • b68dd32af8thumb.jpg Get Sparkling Eyes NaturallyRose Water

  • Another ritual would be to soak a cotton ball in Rose water. Let it in the lotion for a few minutes. Then as you pull it out of the water don’t squeeze the excessive liquid instead add 2-3 drops of Castor oil to it.
  • Then eliminate the unnecessary water and place the slightly damp pads on the closed eyes. Leave it on for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • This is a ritual done not only to get rid of the puffy eyes but also to refresh the skin in this area. Repeat it several times for a sparkling look.
  • Hands Trick

  • Shiny eyes can be also created without the use of different treatments but also simply by using our hands. A time-tested trick is to rub the palms together until you’ll feel the warmth. Then close your eyes put your hands on them.
  • Make sure you don’t push it too hard, just keep it there gently. Stay in this position for 4-5 minutes then take them off. It not only improves your sight but will also make your eyes glitter as the stars.
  • Cold Tea

  • Cold tea also offers a remedy to relax and at the same time refresh your sight. Soak a cotton pad or ball into a natural preferably chamomile or peppermint tea and place it to your eyes. Leave it on for 5-6 minutes then let your eyes enjoy the sparkling results. If your expose your eyes to great pressure on a daily basis make sure you include this ritual in your daily or weekly beauty care schedule.
  • Apple Juice

  • Apple juice is another efficient remedy for tired eyes. Dip a pad into the liquid and leave it there for 2-3 minutes. Then wipe the eyes with it several times and then leave on the juice for 2-3 minutes. The apple due to its high vitamin content will furnish your eyes with the necessary nutrients to shine and will also minimize the chance for the early formation of crow’s feet.

    189ffc6ac7thumb.jpg Whats My Skin Type

    What’s My Skin Type?

Are you confused about all those skin products you see and you can’t determine which one would suit you. This is because you need to determine exactly what type of skin you have so you can take proper care of your gorgeous skin.

In order to make the right decision and to take proper care of your skin you need to know exactly the type of skin that you have. There are 5 basic skin types which are genetically determined. You cannot choose what type of skin you have, your genes decide that for you.

Skin care products are usually designed to suit every skin type individually, so a skin care product destined for dry skin is not suitable for the rest of the skin types and vice versa. This is why you need to know your skin in order to make sure that you provide the care it needs in order to look its best.

    Normal Skin

Normal skin is the type of skin which is not oily but not dry either. This type of skin produces the exact amount of sebum the skin needs. The pores are small and not visible. It is not prone to acne but that doesn’t mean that pimples and blackheads will not appear.
Use products which are especially designed for normal skin.

    Dry Skin

Dry skin is the type of skin which doesn’t produce enough sebum, leaving the skin matte. You will experience tightness especially after washing your face with water. The pores are very small, almost invisible.
Use products that are destined for dry skin because these products contain more oils which will hydrate the skin so it won’t flake and feel as uncomfortable.

fbf229740fthumb.jpg Whats My Skin Type75733b7f05thumb.jpg Whats My Skin Type

    Oily Skin

Oily skin is the type of skin which produces too much sebum. The face has a greasy appearance, especially after waking up. Your face will become shiny after a few hours after you washed it. It is characterized by large visible pores as well. This type of complexion is prone to acne and skin problems due to the activity of the sebaceous glands.
Use products which are alcohol free and destined for this type of complexion.

    Combination Skin

Combination skin is a mixture between oily skin and dry skin. The skin produces excess sebum on some parts of the face and doesn’t produce enough on others. Usually the oily part is the T-zone, meaning the forehead and the nose area, leaving the cheeks and chin dry. The pores are more visible in the T-zone and less visible on the dry parts of the skin.
Use products that are especially designed for this type of complexion or treat each area separate, according to it’s skin type.

    Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is usually mistaken with dry skin. The difference between the two is that this type of skin easily gets irritated. It can’t stand certain cosmetic products and it is very sensitive when it comes to cosmetics.
Use only specially designed cosmetic products for sensitive creams because they contain ingredients which sooth and don’t irritate the skin.
