Top 6 Diet Mistakes

Top 6 Diet Mistakes
When talking about diets there are plenty of mistakes that one makes without even realizing their real consequences. How many diets have you tried without any result, and feeling defeated you simply gave up? From skipping breakfast or not drinking enough water, there are some diet mistakes that can ruin everything you’ve worked for. And even sometimes you feel defeated, think to your goal and don’t put too much pressure on yourself because important changes don’t just happen over night.
You have tried everything, you said “NO” to all you favorite foods and started eating only salads, but you just can fit in that nice dress you like. Maybe you made some mistakes that can be crucial in a diet. Here are six mistakes that you can avoid.
1. Skipping breakfast
Experts say that people who are on diet should take five small meals a day, three main meals and two snacks. According to a study, this rule is ignored by almost 95% of those who are keeping a diet.
And almost every time breakfast is the one being skipped.
Even if it’s tempting to skip breakfast when you’re trying to lose weight think that this strategy would only increase your hunger and you’ll eat more at lunch and throughout the day. Because you’re so famished, you’ll want to eat everything you see. Breakfast is also very important because it helps you start off your day. So, have something for breakfast, even if it’s just oatmeal with plain yogurt.
2. Replacing meals with protein bars
Although for the moment these bars quench your hunger, less than half an hour later you’ll feel again the need to eat. Because these bars cannot replace a healthy meal.
Our body needs lots of nutrients that can be found only in fruits and vegetables, cereals and animal products. Therefore, try to eat regularly and use proteins bars occasionally.
3. Not enough water in your diet
Water consumption should increase during a diet, experts say. Water is necessary as it helps burning calories. In some cases, however, water can be replaced with tea (sweetened with honey) or with fresh homemade juice. Honey is good only in small quantities because it contains many sugars. Also, in order to obtain a glass of juice you need five fruits, which means a large amount of fructose. Therefore choose to drink only water during your diet. This way, you’ll be hydrated, and according to experts, water cuts appetite.

4. Give up easy
Sometimes, you may not feel ready for a diet and so you give up quickly.
Specialists say that this thing occurs often because our body is suddenly deprived of all the usual foods. But there is a solution in this, too. There is a period of one week or two when you prepare your body before starting the diet. Therefore, make a list of all forbidden foods in a diet and gradually dropped them.
Also, you can choose the low-calorie version of these foods. For example, you can replace meat with soy. At some point, you will notice that the body no longer requires those foods. Only then you can consider yourself ready to keep a diet.
5. Self-starvation
This is a frequent mistake that people on diet do. And most of them think that one day of good eating can be remedied with one day of starvation.
Specialists say that this kind of extreme diet can lead to serious health problems.
6. Not including exercises into your diet
Many women understand diet as a way of cutting some aliments in their eating habits. But doing exercises or simply walking for 30 minutes will help your body burning calories faster.

Alexander McQueen’s Death Mouned by the Fashion World

Alexander McQueen’s Death Mouned by the Fashion World
Lee Alexander McQueen, Britain’s one of the most talented fashion designers was found dead in his home in Mayfair, central London on February 11. The cause of McQueen’s death was apparently suicide. The entire fashion world is trying to come to terms with the sudden and shocking loss of the brilliant designer.
The brilliant designer’s death shocked and stunned the whole fashion world, as designers, retailers and fashion insiders got under way in NY this week. Scheduled for March 9 at La Conciergerie Paris, Alexander McQueen’s show would have been among the last of the Paris Fashion Week.
The self-described “big mouth East English yob” has captured the spotlight with his creativity, showmanship and iconoclasm that almost single-handedly put London back onto the fashion map.

McQueen was called by the critics an enfant terrible and a hooligan of English fashion.
Known for his aggressive side and fascination of dark subjects, he proved a captivating storyteller, creating deeply realized characters through fashion that awed his audiences.
Son of a taxi driver and a social science teacher, Lee Alexander McQueen was born in London on March 17, 1969. His father wanted him to become an electrician or a plumber, but Lee always knew he wanted to work in fashion.
Being aware of his homosexuality at an early age of 8, he was mocked by other children who called him “McQueer.” He leftschool at 16 to apprentice as tailor at Anderson & Sheppard and then Gieves & Hawkes.
By the time he’s 21, McQueen had also worked for a theatrical costume company and designers Koji Tatsuno and Romeo Gigli. He got his master’s degree at London’s Central Saint Martins (formerly Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design) in 1994.
McQueen’s graduate collection caught the attention of Isabella Blow, the late, legendary, fashion guru who purchased his entire graduation collection and helped him make industry connections.
Blow’s suicide in 2007 “just left a big void in my life,” McQueen told W magazine back in 2008.
In Isabella Blow’s memory, he stated a tribute show, with angel wings as a backdrop and a poster-size invitation that depicted Blow riding to the heavens in a chariot pulled by winged horses.
Speculations center on whether McQueen had been depressed over Blow’s suicide, but the trigger was the death of McQueen’s beloved mother last week.
Details about funeral services were not available at press time. McQueen is survived by his father and five sisters.
The McQueen company issued a statement, saying, “We are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family.” It added, “Lee’s family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news.”

Tributes Arrive at the Home of Alexander McQueen![]()
Floral tributes outside the McQueen shop, London
McQueen won the British Fashion Awards’ British Designer of the Year several times and won the Men’s Wear Designer of the Year award in 2004.
In 2003, he received the CFDA Award for Best International Designer and was honored with a CBE from Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the fashion industry.
McQueen said he hoped to create special capsule collections so the public could buy his designs right off his runway. He was also dreaming of setting up glass pyramids, “anywhere in the world,” he said, and beaming holograms of his fashion shows into them.
“This is the birth of a new dawn,” McQueen said and, perhaps in a comment that perfectly captured his entire career, he added, “There is no way back for me now. I am going to take you on journeys you’ve never dreamed were possible.”

2010 Runway HairMessy Updos

2010 Runway Hair – Messy Updos
For 2010 messy updos are a big trend and the best thing is that they couldn’t be easier to style at home. Get inspiration from the Chanel and Lanvin 2010 spring looks with tips and tricks to style your version of the fashion updo.
The look is not a ‘bad hair’ day look, but more a ‘controlled’ updo, with lots of texture and movement. In order to create your version of the messy updo follow these guidelines.
All you need is your fingers, a comb, some hair styling products, snag-free hair elastics and a few bobby pins. Before you would jump into the ‘messy’ business, prepare your tresses for the ‘do.
Use a shine-boosting shampoo suitable for your hair color to give your hair a luxurious glow. Blow-dry hair smooth using a nozzle on your blow-dryer for maximum shine.
Once your hair is totally dry, sweep it into a high pony and secure with a snag-free hair elastic.
Then gently tease the pony in sections and blast with hairspray. Then wind the teased pony around to form a puffy bun and secure at the base.
To do the Chanel look, gather hair into a ponytail using your hands rather than a brush for a more disheveled look, and secure with an elastic.
Then grab sections of the pony twist and secure with a bobby pin around the base of the ponytail. Use hair accessories to add a feminine touch and will dress up your messy updo and keep it sultry with a few loose, face-framing tendrils.
