Bump Hair Styles

Bump Hair Styles
Bump hair styles are one of the most popular hairstyles around. You can wear the bump with a ponytail, a half up/half down hairstyle or to give a cool finish to short haircuts with longer layers on the top. Learn how to do bump hairstyles on short and long hair!
If ever there was a hairstyle to bring out your wilder side, it’s the bump hair style.
The key of bump hairstyles is to get the sides tight to contrast with the height created on the top.
The sleek sides resemble the undercut, which has a cool punky edge to it.
Shoulder length hairstyles are ideal to create bump hair styles. If your hairstyle is broken up with layers that hit chin-level, is even better as you will be able to manage the bump section more easily.
Also the bump hair style will work best on day-old hair. The natural oils in your hair will give it a good grip, as freshly washed hair is too slippery.
Celebrities also love the bump hair trend: Rihanna pairs the bump with her buzzed sides, Snooki bumps it like a Guidette, while Kim Kardashian, Shakira and Nicole Scherzinger are wearing the bump hair with a cool rockstar vibe.
Start styling the bump by sectioning the front part of the hair from ear to ear and clip out of the way. To get the right texture in the rest of the hair saturate damp hair with texturizing product from roots to tips and blast with the blow-drier to dry in. Use a rat tail comb or teasing brush to tease hair back on itself to create volume.
Give it a good mist of strong hold hairspray, then smooth the front layers over the teased hair, gather in the back forming the bump and pin into place.
Mist again with hairspray to fix your bump into place.
You can easily style bump hairstyles on short haircuts: apply a small blob of hair styling mousse to the roots and blow-dry. Tease the top layers section-by-section using short strokes to create height and make hair stand up.
Once your hair is bulky an fluffy, smooth over the top over and over directing hair back. Blast with strong hold hairspray to fix hair into place.

Half Moon Nails – Chic and Easy Manicure
Burlesque and vintage fashion are living their heydays. Besides adopting fashion and hairstyles why not try out the manicure trends of the past decades. Vivid colors and different tricks will send us back to the old days, this is the main reason why the inventions of the 1940s gained so much popularity. Apply these tricks to create your own half-moon nails for chic and easy manicure
As the name reveals a half moon manicure presupposes a totally painted nail with a tiny half-moon left bare or colored lightly at the base of every fingernail. To create the vintage glam look you’ll need:
- a dark colored nail polish
- a lighter colored nail polish (for the half-moon if you want it painted)
- stickers
First of all do the routine nail care ritual, first apply the base coat which will prevent your nails from suffering any damage. Then apply the stickers to the base of your fingernails. If you don’t have special ones designed for this mani, you might cut out some stickers to this shape.
These will extremely ease your job, you’ll see. Now, after the stickers are on, paint the bare part with the shade you planned to use. The stickers will protect the half-moon area. Then leave the nail polish to dry for 10 minutes. After that remove the stickers, finally apply a top coat for a natural glow.
Some might wish to combine two shades, one for the half-moon and another for the rest. Then the best advice is, after the base coat dried, apply a layer of nail polish with the lighter shade. Or the tone you wish to paint the tinier area with.

Then leave it to dry completely, 20 minutes would be enough. Then place the stickers on the base and apply the next coat, leaving the half-moon protected. Voila! The final result would be a two-toned half-moon manicure. Practice it to become a real pro in nail art.
Many celebrities seem to have great pleasure in wearing the half moon nails, Dita von Teese is only one of them. She seems to have a fatal attraction for it, never leaving the house without a polished half-moon manicure.
